Windies to tour Bangladesh later this year

The Bangladesh team is in the Caribbean islands at the moment for a full-fledged tour. They’ve already played the Test series and the two teams are now fighting it out in the coloured jersey – after the two Tests, they will play a three-match ODI series and a one-off T20I to conclude the tour. Cricket Windies has agreed to pay Bangladesh a visit later in the year as a return tour.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced the schedule for Windies team’s tour of Bangladesh November-December 2018. This is the first time they will travel to the country for a full tour in 6 years. The two teams will kick off the tour with a two-match Test series following which they will play three One-Day Internationals and as many Twenty20 Internationals.

For Windies, the tour gets underway with the two-day warm-up match against BCB XI. The first Test is slated to start on November 22 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. As far as the ODI series is concerned, after a one-day practice match on December 6, Windies will face Bangladesh on December 9 for the first ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. The T20I affair will start on December 17 at Sylhet and the tour ends on December 22.
