Sri Lanka will be touring the Caribbean Islands for the first time in ten years for a Test series. The Jason Holder led Windies will be taking on the Lankans starting June 6. This is a contest between the visiting team ranked at No.6 and the hosts who are at No.9. Though there is quite some difference in terms of rankings they are pretty much on the same page when it comes to performance i.e. they have underperformed.

Sri Lanka did defeat Pakistan in a Test series on the tour of UAE but have been very inconsistent of late and lack stability. Windies, on the other hand, have had their share of troubles and captain Holder will want them to bounce back with a win in the home series.

Here are all the key stats and approaching player milestones to keep an eye on ahead of the Test series:

1 – None of the current Sri Lankan players except Rangana Herath have the experience of playing a Test match in the Caribbean Islands.

3-1 – Windies’ win-loss ratio against Sri Lanka in the six matches they’ve played at home. However, they lost seven of the 11 Tests against the Lankans in Sri Lanka.

99 – Roston Chase needs one more wicket to complete 100 wickets in first-class cricket. Sri Lanka’s Jeffrey Vandersay also needs one more wicket to complete 200 FC wickets.

99 – The next game that Suranga Lakmal plays will be his 100th first-class match. He needs seven more runs to complete 1000 runs in FC cricket

147 – Kemar Roach needs three more wickets to complete 150 wickets in Test cricket. Roach is six wickets short of 300 FC wickets.

915 – Dilruwan Perera needs 85 more runs to complete 1000 runs in Test cricket. He will become the 4th player from Sri Lanka with 1000 runs and 100 wickets in Test cricket.

990 – Niroshan Dickwella needs 10 more runs to complete 1000 Test runs. The keeper-batsman needs 50 more runs to complete 9000 runs across all formats. Dhananjaya de Silva also needs 91 runs to complete 7000 runs in professional cricket.

996 – Shai Hope needs four more runs to complete 1000 runs in Test cricket. He needs 22 more runs to complete 3000 runs in his first-class career.

2920 – Kraigg Brathwaite needs 80 more runs to complete 3000 runs in Test cricket. He scored six centuries and 16 fifties in his 44-match career so far.

4914 – Angelo Mathews needs 86 more runs 5000 runs in Test cricket. He will become the 9th player to score 5000 Test runs for Sri Lanka.
