India Women finally registered a win in the T20I Tri-Series as they finished the tournament with a big win 8-wicket over England. India got whitewashed in the 3-match ODI series by Australia and failed to qualify for the final with three consecutive defeats before this game. The Indian spinners pulled England back after they were off to a flier yet again. The visitors were bowled out for 107/10 from 84/3 in the 11th over. Smriti Mandhana’s unbeaten 62 off 41 balls helped India chase down the target in 15.4 overs.

2 – Only the 2nd time England Women were bowled out in consecutive games in the T20I format. Australia bundled them out for 96 runs in the yesterday’s game. England Women were bowled out for 144 and 101 in consecutive days in the 2011 T20I series against Australia.


3 – Number of fifties for Smriti Mandhana in this tournament. She is the 2nd player to score three fifty-plus scores in a Women’s T20I tournament. Meg Lanning also scored three fifties during the 2016 Women’s WT20.


Mandhana is the 2nd Indian to score three fifties in a Women’s T20I series/tournament. Mithali Raj too scored three fifties in the recent T20I series against South Africa.


3 – This game is only the 3rd out of the 35 home T20I matches for India Women where they bowled out the opposition. They restricted England to 96 in the 2010 Wankhede T20I and Australia to 89 in the 2012 Vizag T20I.


3 – India Women defeated England for only the 3rd time in the 13 meetings in the T20I format. This is their first win in nine T20Is they played against England since 2010. India won two of their first four T20Is against England before losing eight in a row.


10 – India Women’s win in this game is their first in ten home T20I matches. Their last win in this format at home came against Bangladesh in the opening game of the WT20 2016.


26 – India chased down the 108-run target in this game with 26 balls to spare. This is the 2nd quickest India Women chased a 100+ target in the T20I format. They completed the 101-run chase against Sri Lanka in 14.4 overs in the 2012 WT20 game.


208 – Smriti Mandhana’s tournament aggregate of 208 runs are the joint 2nd highest for India in a Women’s T20I series/tournament. Mithali Raj scored 220 runs in the 2016 Women’s Asia Cup and also 208 runs in the 2014 WT20.
