The right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman is one of the most explosive players in the Afghanistan team. He is a crucial player for them as he can provide the team a brisk start in high scoring pitches of England. He got injured during the team’s first warm-up match against Pakistan and was retired hurt. He missed the next practice match against England and is doubtful for the Afghanistan team first match against Australia.

Apart from his batting, Mohammad Shehzad is also the first choice wicket-keeper for his team. His experience is very valuable for the team behind the stumps as he is expected to guide young bowlers from behind the stumps just like MS Dhoni does for the Indian team. The Afghan team is looking forward to having a good tournament after defeating Pakistan in their first warm-up match and they need a fit and in-form Mohammad Shehzad to do it.

The left-arm seamer made a comeback to the Sri Lanka ODI team after seven years earlier this year against the South Africa team. He impressed immediately with both bat and the ball and was included in the World Cup squad. He is an experienced campaigner as he has played in various T20 leagues around the globe.

But unfortunately, he got injured in the first warm-up match of his team and didn’t take part in the next warm-up match. He along with Lasith Malinga are two of the team’s most experienced bowlers. He is also a handy batsman and the struggling Lankan team will hope that the fast bowler gets fit in time for their first World Cup match against the New Zealand side.

The right-arm fast-bowler bowled just two balls against the South Africa team in their first warm-up match before pulling a hamstring and getting injured. He was ruled out of their next warm-up match against the New Zealand side. He is a wicket taking bowler and has picked 31 wickets in 22 ODI matches.

The Windies play their first match against the Pakistan team in the World Cup and the explosive team will want one of their best fast bowling options to be fit for the match.
