India lost the high-scoring encounter against England in Birmingham on June 30. While the result didn’t have any bearing on the Men in Blue, it affected Pakistan and Bangladesh’s chances to make it to the knockouts. India also played in the away jersey dominated by Orange colour but they couldn’t execute their plans in the middle in the match.

However, more than the match, an interesting video has been going viral with Hardik Pandya at the centre stage. The incident happened when the game was about to start after Eoin Morgan won the toss and opted to field first. The national anthems were done and dusted and the Indian team was in a huddle with Virat Kohli giving them a pep talk.

At the same time, Hardik Pandya and Kedar Jadhav were hilariously spotted clutching each other’s hand in a huddle. It went for around 5-10 seconds before they stopped and kept a hand on the shoulder of the player beside them. The video of the same has gone viral on social media.

Here’s the video:

Pandya has a decent match while Jadhav under the scanner

As far as the match is concerned, India conceded 337 runs with the ball and then fell short of the target by 31 runs. Hardik Pandya had a good day with the bat scoring 45 off just 33 balls as he kept India in the chase. However, his wicket led to the Men in Blue shutting the shop in terms of winning the match. MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav tried to hit a few boundaries but England bowlers had their plans set in the death overs and executed it perfectly.

Both the players were criticised a lot for their performance with the bat and moreover, their intent was also questioned by the former cricketers. India will face Bangladesh on Wednesday now and would be looking to win and seal their place in the semi-final.
