The second match of the World Cup 2019 will see Pakistan locking horns against Windies in a mouth-watering clash at Trent Bridge. It will be a game between two teams who have a very contrasting style of play. While Pakistan lack the flair in their batting order and instead rely on occasions boundaries and singles, doubles to get the work done. On the other hand, West Indies go all out more often than not. What makes this pretty clear is the consistency with which both the teams hit a six in ODIs. While Pakistan hit a six every 89 balls, Windies do it once every 36 deliveries.

Pakistan enter the contest low on confidence, having lost their last 10 One-Day Internationals including 4 in England earlier this month. To make the matters worse, the defending Champions Trophy winners also lost to Afghanistan in their warm-up game. During the series against England, Pakistan scored more than 300 runs on three occasions but were just not being able to defend the totals or chase down the totals. The finishing with both the bat and the ball was a dismal one.

Windies, on the other hand, are entering this contest high on confidence. The Caribbean outfit is being widely tipped as the dark horse for this tournament. The return of the big names like Andre Russell, Chris Gayle and others have made the two-time World Champions a formidable opponent. Windies have already proved their title credentials by drawing 2-2 against England at home and blowing away New Zealand in their second warm-up game where they scored a mammoth 421.

How’s the weather expected to be:
