Bangladesh – Abu Jayed

He may have picked up a fifer in just his second ODI, but Abu Jayed seems to be a burden in the Bangladesh bowling attack. His inclusion in the World Cup squad ahead of Taskin Ahmed came under severe criticism. Jayed did shut his critics with a performance of 5/58 but the pressure in the World Cup is going to be huge.

The pitches are going to be flat with hardly any movement and bowlers will need to step up. Jayed seems to bowl in the 120s and 130s (kmph) and that may help the batsmen feast and rack up some easy runs. Jayed’s inclusion was a bad one as Taskin Ahmed was waiting in the wings and he has the experience of handling the pressure in the World Cup having done well previously.
