Australia opened their points tally in the WT20 with a 3-wicket at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore against the Bangladesh in Group 2 fixture. After winning the toss, Australia decided to bowl first. Bangladesh got off to a shaky start but a fine unbeaten 49 from Mahmudullah and Shakib AL Hasan’s efforts helped Bangladesh to post a decent total of 156/5 in 20 overs.

Chasing a mere total, Australians got off to a great start with Khawaja leading his side chasing with a brilliant fifty. However, the Aussies lost quick wickets in middle overs but Bangladesh’s fielding kept them out of pressure as well. At the end Australia chased down 157 with only 3 wickets left in hand and 9 balls to spare. Here we look at all the stats and records recorded during the game.
