Younis Khan picks his all-time XI; Only one Indian made it to the list

Picking the all-time XI was the trend followed by Lord’s Cricket Ground YouTube channel and they have brought the trend back with Pakistan’s legendary batsman Younis Khan picking his best all-time cricketing XI.

Younis picked four Asian cricketers, two from Pakistan, one from India and the other from Sri Lanka. Rest six players are from West Indies, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. The former Pakistani batsman picked a complete XI with the legendary all-rounders but some of the big and legendary names are missing.

Coming to the XI, Pakistan’s all-time great Hanif Mohammad, the original little master will open the innings alongside India’s greatest batsman Sachin Tendulkar. The Indo-Pak opening combination is a treat to watch for the millions of fans. The No. 3 place will be covered by South African legendary all-rounder Jacques Kallis and then comes three legendary West Indies cricketers, Brian Lara, Sir Viv Richards and Sir Gary Sobers at 4, 5 and 6 batting slots.

Gilchrist picked ahead of Boucher and Sangakkara

There are many great glovemen in cricketing history from Mark Boucher to Kumar Sangakkara, but the former Pakistani cricketer opted to pick Australian explosive batsman Adam Gilchrist as the No. 7 option and wicket-keeper of the XI. The team would be incomplete without Pakistan’s all-time greatest all-rounder Imran Khan. He will take the eighth slot. The pace attack comprises of Richard Hadlee and Glenn McGrath.

One spin legend between Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne always take part of the greatest sides. Younis Khan picked the Sri Lankan spin wizard as the spin option and No. 11 batsman of his side. This all-time XI of Younis Khan will surely give a tough fight to any opponent side.
