Former India batsman Yuvraj Singh celebrated his birthday on Thursday. The legendary batsman turned 38 today on December 12. One of the finest batsmen to have played the limited-overs cricket, Yuvraj was flooded with messages from all around. From fans, cricketers to others, almost everyone took to Twitter to wish the swashbuckling left-hander on his birthday.

But the one tweet that caught everyone’s attention was from none other than Yuvraj’s ex-India and IPL teammate Rohit Sharma. Unlike others, Rohit used the opportunity to pull Yuvraj’s legs and it is safe to say that the latter pretty much enjoyed it. Posting a picture of himself and Yuvraj celebrating in Mumbai Indians dressing room, Rohit cheekily wrote:

“Happy birthday to the self proclaimed omniscient. Also, you’re past the age of bachelor trips 🤷‍♂️
@YUVSTRONG12”

In reply, Yuvraj made it clear that he was amused by Rohit’s message but wrote it in his own style, tweeting:

“Haha thanks brothaman don’t be jealous 😘”

Yuvraj Singh is regarded as one of the greatest

Yuvraj Singh is widely regarded as one of the India’s greatest match-winners in ODIs and T20Is. He was one of the main reasons why India won the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 50-over World Cup. One of the most iconic moments of Yuvraj’s career came in the T20 World Cup when he hit England’s Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over.

He was a fan favourite because of his knack of playing well in big games. He will be always remembered for his performance in the 2011 World Cup. He starred with both bat and ball and won the Man of the Tournament award as India lifted the trophy. But soon after that came to the biggest challenge of his life, when he was diagnosed with cancer.

But the Punjab-born star miraculously defeated cancer and returned to cricket. In 2012, he was named in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup. After that, he earned numerous recalls but just could not show his old form. He eventually retired from the game earlier this year. Yuvraj took the call just days after being snubbed for the World Cup.
