With the 2017 Indian Premier League auction right around the corner, one of the names that are being talked about is Ben Stokes. While the 26-year old has been one of the most impressive players of the year and on the Indian tour, it would seem clear that there would be a scrap prevailing in the auction for his signature as well.

However, Yuvraj Singh, the Indian all-rounder has come out and stated that the quality of Stokes is something that cannot go unnoticed. The simple fact that he is a hard-worker and is someone who brings a lot to the table is also something that is impressive in terms of being an all-rounder.

“He’s a quality hitter, fast bowler, and fielder. He`ll definitely get the big bucks. He brings a lot to the table,” Yuvraj was quoted as saying by BBC.

“If these guys come and play in the IPL, their skills will improve. The more they play in different conditions, the better they will become,” he added.

Yuvraj Singh, who has now found his way back into the Indian cricket team also went on to add that he loved watching Ben Stokes and Virat Kohli has a go at each other, stating that passion was something that always prevailed at the end of the day. He also went on to recall some of the times when he himself was involved in those massive bust-ups with Andrew Flintoff in Durban in the inaugural edition of the World T20 in 2007.

“I always see Ben and Virat (Kohli) having a go at each other. It’s great for cricket to have passion,” Yuvraj said. “We always have banter with the English. My old battles were with Andrew Flintoff,” he added.
