Yuvraj Singh gives farewell message to two stalwarts of Pakistan cricket

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has joined the long list of fans and cricketers of the cricket fraternity to give their farewell message to the Pakistan cricket stalwarts. Two of the modern day greats of Pakistan cricket – Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan – called it a day in their international careers recently. The third and the final Test of their Test assignment in West Indies marked their farewell game in the longest format of the game.

The Pakistani team managed to pull off a great win in the match after being under the threat of being content with a draw. West Indies batsmen, Roston Chase in particular, was in supreme touch as he showed resilience at the crease. Despite the fall of wickets from the other end, Chase held the fort from his end. The new-found Crisis Man of the West Indies team went on to register his second ton of the series the process.

Winning moments

With a couple of overs to spare on the final day, Pakistan thought the match was out of their hands. However, they managed to win the game in the penultimate over to have a fitting farewell for Younis and Misbah. The cricket fraternity erupted in joy as Pakistan sealed the series 2-1 and the Younis-Misbah duo were seen all smiles after the game in Dominica.

Now, veteran Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh has wished the two players on their illustrious careers. Yuvraj bid adieu to the two stalwarts of the Pakistan cricket. He called them inspirational and rightly noted that their contribution to the game of cricket remains unmatched. Younis had been the batting mainstay for Pakistan for almost a decade and a half. On the other hand, Misbah finished as the most successful Test skipper of his country.

In his tweet, Yuvraj Singh tweeted, “Good bye two greats of Pakistan cricket @captainmisbahpk and Younis khan your contribution towards the game was inspiring to all of us.”
