Former Indian swashbuckling white-ball batsman Yuvraj Singh was one the cleanest strikers of a cricket ball during his playing days. The southpaw’s batlift was like poetry in motion, ready to annihilate the bowlers with disdain. His cover-drive, on-drives were not only pristine but also sumptuous. So, if Yuvraj Singh is impressed with someone’s strokes, then it’s worth watching.

And, it was worth watching when Bollywood actress  Saiyami Kher took to social media to post a video of her showcasing what looked like a pretty good defensive push.  Kher posted the video with a caption, “2020 on the front foot,” And, the former World Cup-winning cricketer was impressed at what he saw in the video. The southpaw took to Twitter to instantly reply to Kher’s video where he acknowledged Saiyami’s technique and wrote, “Shot buddy!”

Things did not end there though as Saiyami Kher responded to Yuvraj’s reply with a heartfelt wish. Kher wants to have a crack at Yuvraj- the bowler- and she made that pretty clear when she responded with, ” but still waiting to bowl to you”.

The 2010s was a decade of contrasting fortunes for Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj also went on to wish all his fans on the occasion of  New Year and a New decade. Singh wrote, “A Very Happy New Decade to everyone, may this new year bring along with it lots love brotherhood, peace,  happiness and good health in all our lives. Let us inspire others to be the better version of themselves and be the change we wish to see #HappyNew2020.”

Coming back to Yuvraj Singh, the past decade was a tale of contrasting fortunes. The decade started with him helping India to World Cup glory on home soil courtesy his all-round display. But then, tragedy struck and the left-hander was diagnosed with a rare germ-cell cancer. The fighter that he is, Yuvraj bounced back and in a matter of 12 months, he was back in Indian colours.

However, his inconsistent returns and a plethora of competition meant he was never able to cement a permanent place in the side and eventually retired in the July of 2019. Since then, Yuvi has been plying his trade in overseas franchise leagues and was recently a part of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
