Yuvraj Singh is undoubtedly one of the most prolific limited-overs players in the world. Time and again, the southpaw has proved his mettle with the bat. He has the history and the stats that back his performances. It was Yuvraj who was instrumental in India’s two World Cup triumphs in 2007 (World T20) and 2011 (ICC Cricket World Cup).

However, despite being a prolific batsman, he has always been in a position wherein he had to prove his case again and again. At times it was the dwindling form and at times it was the injuries that kept him out of the game. Fighting cancer has been yet another significant page of Yuvraj’s career.

One of the toughest tasks in world cricket or any sport for that matter is to make a comeback. Yuvi silenced all his critics with a brilliant 150 against England in the Cuttack ODI to stage a phenomenal comeback at the age of 35. His mother, Shabnam Singh, is hopeful that Yuvi will continue his rich run of form in the days to come as well.

In a recent conversation with TOI, she mentioned that Yuvraj Singh has already proved enough by making so many comebacks. Now, the 35-year old is only keen on winning the Champions Trophy for India.

“Yuvraj has already set a bench mark by making so many comebacks. Right now, he wants to continue doing a good job and win the Champions Trophy for India without thinking too much about comebacks,” she quoted.

Adding further, she thanked their Guruji for guiding Yuvraj Singh in every thick and thin of his life. She revealed that the gurus had asked Yuvraj to stay focused and continue working hard. “Our guruji Sant Baba Ajit Singhji and Sant Baba Ram Singhji are Yuvi’s real heroes. They told him not to give up and keep working hard. It worked like a magic for him. I am always confident about his ability and the blessings of our guruji helped him to strengthen his will-power,” added Shabnam Singh.
