Harbhajan Singh, the veteran Indian cricketer, celebrated his 41st birthday on Saturday, July 3. The tweaker has garnered plenty of laurels in his career. Though it’s been more than five years since he donned the national jersey, he has continued plying his trade in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the 2021 edition of the tournament, he played for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Harbhajan had also played for the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) since the inception of the IPL back in 2008. He is next expected to be seen in the second leg of IPL 2021 that is set to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) a couple of months later. In the meantime, on his birthday, Singh was showered with praises from every nook and corner of the cricket fraternity.

Yuvraj’s hilarious wish for Harbhajan Singh

Yuvraj Singh, the former Indian all-rounder, also wished Harbhajan on the auspicious occasion. Yuvraj, in a hilarious way, used face swap pictures to wish Singh.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “Happy birthday my brother!! always miss and cherish our fun times together love you god bless @harbhajan_singh.”

In the meantime, if reports are to be believed, Yuvraj has struck a deal with a Melbourne-based cricket club, named The Mulgrave Cricket Club, for some T20 matches. It’s a club that plays in Melbourne’s Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) third-tier competition.

The club has also claimed to have secured the services of Tilakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga for the matches. As per reports, Sanath Jayasuriya will be their head coach. Mulgrave president Milan Pullenayegam opined on the signings.

“We’ve secured Dilshan, we’ve secured Sanath, and we’ve secured Tharanga. And now we are working on finalising agreements with a few other potential players.

“We are in negotiations, and with Chris (Gayle) and Yuvraj, we are nearly 85 to 90 percent there. We need to finalise a few things but it looks really good,” Pullenayegam was quoted as saying to ‘cricket.com.au’.

Yuvraj remains one of the greatest all-rounders in Indian cricket. Though he couldn’t quite stamp his authority in Test cricket, he made ODI and T20I cricket his very own. He also won the Player of the Tournament award in the 2011 World Cup.
