Yuzvendra Chahal applauds the romantic proposal at Lord's

The second One-Day International between England and India ended in the favour of hosts with a 86-run win. India faltered during the run-chase and the middle order failed to reach the expectations. Hosts managed to level the series with the final One Day starting on 17th of July. Meanwhile, during the first innings, a guy garnered all the attention in the stands by proposing the love of his life. The girl also accepted his proposal even as Yuzvendra Chahal applauded the prospect of the couple getting engaged.

However, the romantic incident lightened the tensed atmosphere in the middle as England were looking to get out of the trouble after being two down courtesy of Kuldeep Yadav. It was preplanned it seems as the boy waited for the cameraman to put him on the screen and then knelt down to the girl to propose her in the 25th over of the first innings.

The broadcaster also did their best to make things interesting as they showed Decision Pending on the screen while he proposed her. When the girl said ‘Yes’ by accepting the ring on offer, they showed the final decision with Davil Lloyd doing the commentary on the air of the exciting proceedings. However, during all the brouhaha in the stands, Yuzvendra Chahal was bowling and even he can’t control from joining in the fun and clapped applauding the couple.

Match details

The hosts have tightened their grip on the game in the 2nd ODI. Their spinners Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali bowled beautifully and kept a lid on the run-scoring throughout their respective spells. Dhoni and Pandya were at the crease for Team India when the required run-rate went over 11 and India lost the game by 86 runs.
