Royal Challengers Bangalore bowler Yuzvendra Chahal produced a wonderful bowling performance of 6/21 against England earlier this year and believes that life has changed ever since. That was also the best figure by an Indian bowler ever in the shortest version of the game.

Yuzvendra is also bowling pretty well for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and has featured in every match in this season till date. He has been a lethal weapon for his captain Virat Kohli and continues to be one of the major wicket-takers for Bangalore.

“My life has totally changed after I took six wickets because that was best figures by an Indian (in T20I) and third best overall,” Chahal was quoted as saying by News 18.

He also feels people expect a lot more from him following his wonderful spell against the Englishmen and now has a lot more responsibility on his shoulders.

“So now there is more responsibility for me and pressure. Now I have to do more compared to last year”

He also spoke about his teammates and declared that AB de Villiers who missed the last game for his franchise due to a back problem is back to full fitness and is ready to take the pitch once again against the Kolkata Knight Riders. AB de Villiers also missed the initial two matches due to the same problem but came back in amazing fashion smashing 89 runs off 46 balls against Kings XI Punjab.

“I think he is ready to play tomorrow. I don’t know about (Tymal) Mills.”

The young bowler also heaped praise on West Indian Samuel Badree who registered a brilliant hattrick against the Mumbai Indians earlier this season.

“He (Badree) can bowl in the Powerplay and I can bowl in the middle overs. Then (Pawan) Negi is there. Now we have two spinners who can bowl in Powerplay, last year it was only me who bowled in Powerplay overs”

Chahal expressed his fondness towards flat wickets as he feels it is easier to beat the batsman on such wickets than on turning ones.

“For me, I love to bowl on flat wickets. I don’t like bowling on turning wickets. It is more difficult to beat the batsman, whereas on a flat wicket you can plan when to bowl sliders and googly. For me, I like pace on the wicket.”
