Although India lost out on a victory in the second ODI against England at Lord’s, the Indian dressing room was treated to some laughter courtesy of the uncanny Yuzvendra Chahal. The 27-year old, commonly not known for his batting found himself wielding the bat along with his good friend and partner Kuldeep Yadav.

With the match all but lost, the Indians resigned themselves to their fate and eventually sat out at the Lord’s balcony awaiting the dying embers of what was the second ODI. While watching the duo Chahal and Kuldeep put on their resistance, David Willey was making amends from the first ODI by making an attempt to bowl out the Indians.

However, the 27-year old certainly did not allow him to do so when he struck a perfect lenght ball from Willey straight to the fence before raising his bat to the dressing room, something that received several cheers from the likes of Virat Kohli and even former skipper MS Dhoni. This also brought several laughs in the commentary box as well prompting the likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Graeme Swann.

This promoted the unwitting Swann to say ’dog chasing a frisbee.’ Chahal was however out on the final ball of the match giving a simple catch to Ben Stokes at long-on.

The 86-run win for England helped them save face and prompt the final ODI to prove to become the decided between the two sides. At the moment, it would seem as though the Indians have had a terrific tour of England and Ireland, something that has seen them win both T20I series thus far. However, a lot will be at stake when the Test series begins.
