Age is just a number and legendary pacer Zaheer Khan proved it once again on Saturday. The former India pacer pulled off a sensational catch during the Road Safety World Series game between India Legends and West Indies Legends at the Wankhede Stadium. Zaheer took a breathtaking one-handed catch to leave everyone stunned.

The fans in the stadium must have turned nostalgic after seeing the cricket stars of yesteryear in action once again. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Carl Hooper, Shivnarine Chanderpaul were some of the stars who featured in the game. And Zaheer managed to hog the limelight for a while by taking the sensational catch.

He took the catch to send back Ricardo Powell in the 17th over of West Indies Legends’ innings. Powell went for a stylish flick off the bowling of former pacer Munaf Patel. The ball looked set to sail over Zaheer over deep square-leg. Zaheer. However, the former pacer made a timely jump and caught the ball with one hand.

India Legends thrash West Indies Legends

Talking about the match, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag starred with the bat as India Legends started their campaign in the Road Safety World Series with a win. The home side registered a comfortable seven-wicket win. Sehwag top-scored for the side, scoring an unbeaten 74 with the help of 11 fours.

On the other hand, Tendulkar scored 36 as the two added 83 runs for the first wicket while India Legends were chasing 152. Tendulkar hammered Suleiman Benn for three successive fours to turn back the clocks while Sehwag started and finished his innings with a boundary. Earlier in the game, India Legends restricted West Indies Legends to 150/8 with pacers Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel and spinner Pragyan Ojha grabbing two wickets each.

For West Indies, opener Shivnarine Chanderpaul made 61 with the help of 6 fours and a couple of sixes. Captain Lara did not last long on the crease but entertained the crowd with some stylish shots as he slammed four fours during his 17-run knock.
