Zaheer Khan to tie knot with Sagarika Ghatge soon

Former Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan finally confirmed about his wedding plans with ‘Chak De! India’ star Sagarika Ghatke. The couple got engaged in April this year and will soon get hitched during the month of November. Zaheer Khan took to micro-blogging website Twitter to reveal about his engagement news.

Since his retirement from International cricket, he has been an integral part of Delhi Daredevils franchise and captained the side until this season of IPL. Under the captaincy of the left arm bowler, the likes of Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant bloomed this season. His season in the IPL was curtailed due to injury.

The captaincy was then handed over to Karun Nair who struggled with his own form during the majority of the season. Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge claimed that it was during the IPL this season that Zaheer popped the question to her.

Zaheer to tie knot with Sagarika this November

“Zaheer and Sagarika are all set to tie the knot in November and their wedding reception will take place on the 27th of the same month. There could be two ceremonies — one each in Mumbai and Pune. Close friends and family have been informed in advance to save the date,” quoted the Bombay Times.

Zaheer Khan has been closely associated with Sony Entertainment Pictures during India’s tour to West Indies and Sri Lanka as a commentator and analyst.

“I always knew Zaheer was going to propose but didn’t know it would be in the middle of the IPL! My mom and dad are very happy. Zaheer has interacted with them a lot and even they knew it would happen, just that nobody knew when. That was definitely a surprise for me. For any good occasion, I think the right time is when you feel it. I am sure he found it right enough to do it,” claimed Saagarika Ghatge.
