Zimbabwe at Cricket World Cup Player by Player Analysis: Zimbabwe has announced its 15-man squad for the World Cup. Elton Chigumbura will serve as the Captain. The biggest news was the inclusion of Hamilton Masakadza. Hamilton made his debut in 2001 but didn’t got a chance to represent his country in 2003, 2007 and 2011 edition of the world cup after being inexperienced in the first, injured in the second and then suffering from a poor form in the third. Zimbabwe has also included banned spinner Prosper Utseya who they say will bowl medium-pace after his spin-bowling action was termed illegal by the ICC.

Many fans would want to know how their team’s representation fared previously at the faster pitches of Australia and New Zealand and what was their contribution in previous editions of the World Cup? We have combined the meticulous data of Zimbabwe’s representation at the World Cup. The stats include each player’s contribution in Australia and New Zealand as well as in previous world cups.

Most experienced in Australia/New Zealand: Stuart Matsikenyeri – 8 matches

Most experienced in World Cups:  Elton Chigumbura/Brendon Taylor/Prosper Utseya – 9 matches
