Pakistan continued their good run in Zimbabwe as they took a solid 2-0 lead in the 5-match ODI series against the hosts with a yet another easy win. Zimbabwe, who elected to bat first, turned up with a better batting performance than in the first ODI. Hamilton Masakadza and Peter Moor’s fifties took them to 194 before they being bowled out in the final over. It was Fakhar Zaman’s turn to score a century this time as he remained unbeaten on 117 and Pakistan chased down the target with 14 overs and nine wickets to spare.

All the major stats and numbers recorded during Pakistan’s yet another triumph over Zimbabwe:

0 – Number of sixes Pakistan hit in the ODI game. This is only the 2nd time they batted 36 and more overs without hitting a six in an ODI game since the start of 2015. Pakistan failed to hit a six during the 2016 Southampton ODI against England where they made 260/6 in 50 overs.


45 – Zimbabwe’s loss in this match was their 45th in ODI format at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. Only two sides have lost more ODIs at a venue than Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. Zimbabwe themselves lost 89 ODI matches at the Harare Sports Club while Sri Lanka lost 49 matches at the Sharjah Stadium.


55.92Fakhar Zaman now has a batting average of 55.92 in ODI format having scored 727 runs in just 15 matches with two centuries and five fifties. He scored 3150 runs in his 65-match List A career at an average of 52.5 with nine centuries and 22 fifties.


66 – Number of wickets Hasan Ali has taken in his 32-match ODI career thus far. His 66 wickets are the most by any fast bowler after 32 ODIs. New Zealand pacers Mitchell McClenaghan and Shane Bond took 64 wickets apiece in their first 32 ODIs. Rashid Khan (70) and Ajantha Mendis (67) are the only bowlers who took more wickets in first 32 ODIs.


66.33 – Mohammad Amir’s bowling average in the ODI format in 2018. The left-arm pacer went wicket-less in three of the six ODIs he played this year and picked one each in the remaining three games.


194 – Zimbabwe’s total of 194 is their 4th lowest score that included two individual fifties in an ODI. Their lowest score in an ODI inning where they were bowled out with two fifties was 174 against England in the 1995 Brisbane ODI.


216 – The 216 balls Pakistan batted in this game are the 3rd most without losing a wicket to bowler in an ODI. The only wicket that fell was Imam-ul-Haq, who was run out.

They batted 253 balls during the 2011 Harare ODI against Zimbabwe on their way to a 10-wicket win. Pakistan batted 260 balls without losing a wicket against Sri Lankan bowlers in the 2000 Champions Trophy game.
