The Asia Cup 2023 is delivering blockbuster action to cricket supporters. The second round of the group stage will conclude after the Bangladesh versus Afghanistan match at the Gaddafi Stadium. Sompal Kami has been active in One-Day International (ODI) cricket since 2018 and currently, he is a vital cog in the Nepal team due to his brilliant all-round skills. The right-handed batter has scored 554 runs with two half-centuries in 38 innings of 49 matches.
Kami has batted in every middle-order position from fourth to eighth. In the Asia Cup 2023, Nepal’s campaign ended with their second defeat against India at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. In his team’s unsuccessful campaign, the 27-year-old showed commendable confidence while batting for Nepal.
Batting in the lower-middle-order, he scored 76 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 74.50. With these numbers, he also ended up as the leading run-scorer for his team. Against India, he played a fine knock of 48 off 56 to help his team finish qith a decent total of 230 runs on the board.
