The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is all set to get underway in India from October 05 onwards. Notably, it will be the 13th edition of the World Cup overall and the fourth time that it will be hosted by India. Over the 12 editions of the cricketing extravaganza, several great bowlers have graced the field with their marvellous performances.
Every edition of the World Cup has witnessed a bowler dominating the tournament right from the first game itself and unleashing his wrath on the opposition with their variations. The one bowler who’s dominated the World Cup across several editions is the legendary Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath.
McGrath sits on the top of the list of the highest wicket-takers in tournament history with 71 scalps to his name from 39 matches at an average of 18.19 and an economy of 3.96. Legendary Sri Lankan mystery spinner Muttiah Muralitharan sits on the second spot with 68 wickets from 40 matches.
