India (IND) will take on South Africa (SA) in the third ODI of the three-match series on Thursday (December 21) at Boland Park, Paarl. Both teams have won one game each in the series.
In the second ODI, South Africa elected to bowl after winning the toss. Sai Sudarshan and KL Rahul scored a half-century each for India. Sudharshan was dismissed after scoring 62 runs off 83 deliveries, while Rahul played a knock of 56 runs off 74 deliveries. Unfortunately, no other batter managed to go past the 20-run mark and India were bundled out for just 211 runs in 46.2 overs. Nandre Burger was the pick of the bowlers for the Proteas and took three wickets for 30 runs in 10 overs.
Reeza Hendricks and Tony de Zorzi had a partnership of 130 runs for the first wicket. Hendricks scored 52 runs off 81 deliveries and was the first to get dismissed in the 28th over. Zorzi remained unbeaten on 119 runs off 122 deliveries and guided South Africa to a victory by eight wickets in 42.3 overs. Zorzi won the Player of the Match award.
