Preview

India will be up against Australia in the 3rd ODI match of the Australia Tour of India at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on September 27. India has now led the series 2-0 after winning the second game as well. The third ODI will now feature Australia playing for respect.

India batted first in the second ODI and amassed a massive score of 399 for 5 in 50 overs. Early in the inning, Ruturaj Gaikwad was unlucky to get out early, and Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer joined forces and began smashing the bowlers all over the place after Shubman Gill was out. They had a second-wicket partnership run total of 200 runs. They created the groundwork for a significant sum. Suryakumar profited from the circumstance and hit 72 off 37 balls to help India reach 399 in 50 overs of action.

Australia got off to a poor start during the pursuit, losing Matt Short and Steve Smith quite quickly. Australia was set an unachievable goal of 331 to chase down in 33 overs after a rain delay. Warner scored 53 runs, but Ashwin dismissed him when he shouldn't have. None of Australia's middle-order hitters accepted the challenge of getting their team over the finish line. They finally lost the game by 99 runs (DLS method) after being knocked out for 217.
