We are at the business end of the Oman D10 League 2022 and the stakes are extremely high in the remaining contests. The Super-4 round is underway with four games taking place on Day 9 (March 21) of the T10 competition. While Ruwi Rangers won both their games, Qurum Thunders and Amerat Royals recorded one win apiece. The top four teams will play one more game in the Super 4 round, before the finalists will be determined.

Ruwi Rangers vs Qurum Thunders

The opening game of the Super 4 stage was a pretty close affair. Batting first at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground, the Rangers posted a daunting 134/4 on board with Khalid Kail scoring 43 off just 19 deliveries. In reply, the Thunders lost wickets at regular intervals, but the scoring rate never really went out of reach. However, the Rangers eventually won the game by nine runs.

Ruwi Rangers – 134/4 in 10 Overs (Khalid Kail 43, Shoaib Khan 2/15)

Qurum Thunders – 125/9 in 10 Overs (KashyapKumar Prajapati 24, Mohit Patel 2/19)

Amerat Royals vs Bousher Busters

The second game of the day saw Amerat Royals battling it out with Bousher Busters. The Busters elected to bat after winning the toss, but the decision wasn’t fruitful by any means. Mehran Khan’s five-wicket haul meant the Busters were restricted to 81/9 in their allotted 10 overs. In reply, substantial knocks from Karan Sonavale and Akshay Patel took the Royals to a seven-wicket triumph.

Bousher Busters – 81/9 in 10 overs (Abdul Rauf 36, Mehran Khan 5/13)

Qurum Thunders vs Bousher Busters

Having suffered defeats in their respective previous clashes, Qurum Thunders and Bousher Busters crossed swords in the next encounter. The Busters elected to field first, but the decision didn’t really turn out to be a good one as the Thunders posted 104/5 in their allotted 10 overs with Jatinder Singh scoring a quickfire 40. In reply, the Busters were restricted to 79/3, losing the contest by 25 runs

Eyeing their second win of Super-4 stage, Ruwi Rangers and Amerat Royals met in the last game of the day.  It was a high-scoring thriller that went right down to the wire. Karan Sonavale and Vinayak Shukla played fiery cameos as the Royals posted 129/5 after electing to bat first. In reply, the Rangers crossed the line with just two balls to spare, clinching the game by one wicket.
