10 Indian cricket stars and their business involvements: Cricketers retire at a pretty young while they are in their 30’s considering the average retirement age. Despite the fact that they earn big while being professional cricketers, how do they manage their living post retirement? Business and getting involved in ventures or investing in a prospective sector has been the trend that Indian cricketers have followed.

From owning hotels to teams in football and tennis leagues, Indian players have their investments spread across industries. Some of them have been successful while a few had had bitter experiences.

1. Sachin Tendulkar:

The master blaster has invested, more or less in seven ventures till now as he started the second innings as a businessman and an investor. He became partners with famous hotelier Sanjay Narang of Mars Group and began his restaurant named Tendulkar’s and cafe named Sachin’s in Mumbai. After calling off his restaurant business a few years back, Sachin, along with PVP Ventures, bagged the Kochi franchise – Kerala Blasters to become a co-owner of a soccer side in ISL. Tendulkar is also the co-owner of the Mumbai franchise of the newly formed International Tennis Premier League (ITPL) along with the Hyderabad-based PVP ventures as he has been a long-time tennis fan.
