KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya share a close bond off the field but on the field, the two players will meet for one last time this season on Friday. The Indian Premier League 2024 journey ends for Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday.

Mumbai Indians were hoping for glory when they came into the season under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. What transpired was completely different as the Mumbai Indians team is battling it out to avoid a wooden spoon finish for the second time in their distinguished IPL journey.

KL Rahul’s side meanwhile began the season with a loss to Rajasthan Royals before winning the next three games. Their unbeaten run was halted with two losses in two games before beating Chennai Super Kings at home and away. With a 10-wicket loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad, their chances of making it to the playoffs took a huge beating. With a loss to Delhi Capitals in their last game their fate was sealed in the tournament.

Here are the three players to have played for both MI and LSG in the league’s history:

The talented all-rounder from Madhya Pradesh made his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians during the IPL 2023 season. The left-arm seamer played 6 games for MI and grabbed 5 wickets with a best of 3/39.

Arshad Khan was released by Mumbai Indians and brought by Lucknow Super Giants for the current season. In the three games he has played, Arshad Khan has picked just 1 wicket but his 58 not out against Delhi Capitals showed how dangerous he is with the bat in hand.
