18-year-old Washington Sundar has a new companion in his life

Washington Sundar is one of the upcoming stars in the Indian cricket who has risen through the ranks in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). His exploits in the tournament earned him a maiden contract in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2017. He impressed everyone while playing for the Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) and the selectors picked him in the national side straight away. The cricketer is still learning in the early stage of his career and is delighted to have a new companion with him.

Sundar picked 8 wickets while playing in 11 matches last year and conceded only 6.16 runs per over which grabbed the eyeballs of the franchises this year in the auction. He was snapped up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the auction earlier this year for a whopping amount of 3.2 Crores. Unfortunately, he couldn’t replicate the similar kind of performances in the 7 matches he featured and could only scalp 4 wickets while going 9.60 runs per over.

Who is the new companion?

Washinton Sundar is now gearing up for the UK tour of India and has been picked in the ODI and T20I squad. He recently cleared the yo-yo fitness test as well thereby securing his place in the line-up. The youngster is having a special love towards the bikes and has bought a brand new Yamaha R15 and has made a perfect use of his IPL salary where he earned Rs 3.2 Crores.

Sundar himself posted the picture of him sitting on his new Yamaha bike on Instagram and captioned it with the message which read, “Love makes life a beautiful ride #loveforthisbike #leanonit.”

The all-rounder would be now eager to get on the flight for his first away tour with the national side. It remains to be seen if he will be given an opportunity to display his prowess as India will face Ireland and England in the two and three T20 Internationals respectively. They will also play a three-match ODI series against the latter side which will commence on July 12.
