Cricket, the game of great uncertainties, although first appeared in England but went on to grow in India where people take it no short of a religion. The second most populated country in the world has one of the biggest domestic cricket set-ups, owing to which India produces a huge number of quality cricketers on a consistent basis.

Each year, new faces come forward and the emergence of Indian Premier League (IPL) has made it a bit easy. Players get much-needed exposure and later they settle down easily in the international cricket. This gives rise to a tough competition amongst cricketers for making it to the national team. Pertinently, it gets even more challenging to be a regular part of the team, with plenty in the queue, waiting for a chance.

Over the years, some star players who were once irremovable part of the team are not in the scene in present times and might never appear in Indian colours again. Considering the form and the team’s requirement, in this slide, we bring five players who are unlikely to play international cricket for India for one more time.

Bengal cricketer, Manoj Tiwary is one of those Indian players who started off well but faded away quickly. The right-handed batsman played 12 ODI and three T20I matches before losing his place in the team. He even scored an unbeaten ton against West Indies while playing just his sixth ODI.

However, due to a downfall in his form, Tiwary failed to make a comeback and with an enlarging competition in Indian batting set-up, the 33-year-old could never be able to do so.
