Another player who has done exceedingly well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy to garner limelight is Rahul Dalal from Haryana, who represented Arunachal Pradesh this edition. The side did miss out on the quarterfinals by a significant margin, but the 27-year-old played some brilliant knocks against top-quality oppositions, which certainly caught the attention of some franchises.

The right-handed batsman from Faridabad is currently the highest run-scorer of the tournament at the end of the group stages, raking up a brilliant 515 runs in 8 games at an average in excess of 80. His aggressive approach could fit perfectly into the scheme of things for Bangalore and the Chinnaswamy conditions.

Not a lot of players from the Plate division teams have been in consideration for an IPL contract in the last few seasons, but Dalal has shown great quality with his batting which should definitely bring him up in a lot of discussions among franchises before they come to the auction table.
