Best playing XI of Punjab Kings (PBKS) after mini auction
IPL Auction 2023
The IPL Auctions are set to happen on December 23 in Kochi, where all 10 teams will be participating. The auction for the IPL 2023 will be a mini-auction, unlike what we witnessed for the 2022 edition of the tournament, where the event spanned over two days. The IPL 2023 Auctions will be just a one-day affair.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been running successfully for 15 years and will be entering its 16th edition next year. All 10 teams finalized their list of retentions, and also released players from their squad. While there were some obvious names, there were also some shockers as Kane Williamson, who captained Sunrisers Hyderabad, was released by the franchise.
All 10 teams have heavy purses after releasing the players, and on top of that, they’ll also be given an additional INR 5 crore for the IPL Auction. Sunrisers Hyderabad have the biggest purse, with a whopping INR 42.25 crores. Punjab Kings, who also let go of their skipper Mayank Agarwal, come next in the list with INR 32.20 crores in their kitty.
Also, many big names will be participating in the Auction this year. Players like Sam Curran and Ben Stokes from the T20 World Cup-winning England side are set to go under the hammer. Narayan Jagadeesan, who was released by Chennai Super Kings, has put up a series of brilliant knocks in the domestic setup in the white-ball format and is expected to go big at the auction alongside others.
