Pakistan Super League (PSL)| 5.24 Million followers With mostly no international cricket in Pakistan for the past decade, PSL has been conducted in the UAE barring a few matches back home. But that has not affected the enthusiasm of the fans and they are one of the most popular leagues on social media. The PCB has also used different social media platforms smartly to advertise and promote the league. With a huge fan base in Pakistan and countries like UAE, PSL generates a lot of news on social media. They have 3.9 million followers on their official Facebook page. Their twitter account is also very active and it has around 1.2 million followers. Their Instagram page has around 0.442 million followers. The PSL has about 5.24 million followers on social media. If it moves entirely to Pakistan, the popularity of the league might increase a lot. 1. Indian Premier League (IPL)| 30.6 Million followers IPL is undoubtedly the most popular cricketing league in the world in every aspect. Be it in terms of television ratings, ground attendance or even social media followers, IPL is on a different level. The tournament started back in 2008 and has just grown in numbers every year. The simple fact that the total followers of all other leagues in this list combined is less than half of the followers of IPL just further proves the domination of IPL on social media. The IPL Facebook page has a staggering 21 million followers. Its official Twitter account has about 6.5 million followers and it’s Instagram page has a following of about 3.1 million.
