James Neesham is probably one of the most underrated all-rounders in world cricket at the moment. More often than not, Neesham slips under the radar and hardly gets noticed. He does his job quietly, contributing in all three departments and yet, doesn’t hog the limelight.

The Kiwi all-rounder had a very good World Cup and no one even gave it a proper look. He was New Zealand’s third-best batsman (in terms of runs and average) and third-best bowler as well. He scored 232 runs at an average of 33.14 and took 15 wickets at an average of 19.46.

These are excellent numbers and yet they’ve gone unnoticed. He even performed well in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). However, he couldn’t attract any team in the draft for The Hundred. However, with the IPL auctions coming up and more overseas players allowed than The Hundred, Neesham could well be in with a chance of attracting some good and handsome bids. In fact, his all-round ability might work in his favour as well.
