In the last month, South Africa has been the subject of a bevy of One-Day matches in the Caribbean. Playing a Tri-Series in the cluster of Islands, they, unfortunately, had to board a plane back home. In their squad, there is a small yet significant void left by pacer Dale Steyn.

At one point of his career, Steyn was arguably the best bowler in the world. However, disaster struck in 2015 when he sustained a groin strain in 2015. It was at this point that Steyn’s international career looked bleak. He made it to the squad for the World T20 in India only to be left out of the squad for two of the four matches.
