The former Sri Lankan skipper has won many matches for the island nation with the bat, but this gentle giant has been terrific with the ball too. His slow left-arm spin helped him scalp 323 wickets at an average of 36.75, along with an economy of 4.78. Sanath has been phenomenal on many occasions. His best bowling figures of 6/29 came against England in the 1992/93 series.
