Team India prominent batter Virat Kohli is currently on a break from international cricket. The right-handed batter was last seen in action during the India tour of England but he did not have a great time on the English soil as he failed to provide any vital contribution with the bat.

At present, Kohli is having quality time with his family as he along with his wife Anushka Sharma are enjoying their England trip. In an Instagram post shared by Anushka Sharma on Thursday (August 4), the couple can be seen enjoying their time as they pose for a picture.

“Always wanted to start a band with a cute boy,” Anushka wrote on her Instagram post

The picture shows the couple twinning in a sky-blue jacket with the post reaching close to two million likes on the social media platform (at the time of writing). To note, both Anushka and Virat tied the knot in December 2017.

As mentioned above, Kohli has opted for a break from international cricket and is not a part of the ongoing white-ball series against West Indies. He will also not be seen in action during India’s tour of Zimbabwe and is expected to be named in the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2022 later this month.

Team India fans will want Kohli to be in his best batting form against their arch-rivals Pakistan as both nations will face each other in their Asia Cup opener on August 28. The Men in Blue had to suffer a defeat against the Men in Green during the 2021 T20 World Cup by ten wickets and they will want to settle the scores.

Earlier, former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel had opined that Kohli might open the innings alongside skipper Rohit Sharma in the upcoming Asia Cup. “I keep saying about the combination because that would be the key. You might just see Virat Kohli open in the Asia Cup because KL Rahul is not fit, as of now,” Parthiv had said on Cricbuzz.
