The young prodigy Arshdeep Singh has been phenomenal for team India in the ongoing T20 World Cup. The left-arm seamer may have conceded runs in a few matches but was top-notch for the majority of the time. In the Super 12, the 23-year-old has clinched ten wickets so far and gave India the right push in the absence of experienced Jasprit Bumrah.

Former India international Nikhil Chopra is thus very impressed with the talented youngster and didn’t shy to call him the Sultan of swing at the moment. Just before India’s match against Zimbabwe at Adelaide, the 48-year-old elucidated his strengths and called him the hero of the tournament.

“See, he now became the Sultan of Swing. He can swing the ball both ways. He can bowl inswingers to right-handers - which eventually is his normal action but bowling outswingers to right-handed batters is a sign of a top-quality bowler. That is the reason why he’s so dangerous with the new ball and picks so many wickets. Arshdeep for me is the hero of this world cup. It is a huge moment for a young player and he took full advantage of the opportunity he got. Credit goes to him and you can actually call him the new Sultan of swing,” said the former cricketer on BatBricks7 presents Run Ki Runneeti show on CricTracker.

Suryakumar Yadav hammerrs Zimbabwe bowlers, records most T20I runs in 2022

The flamboyant batter Suryakumar Yadav absolutely decimated Zimbabwe bowlers with his unique power-hitting shots. Mr. 360 of Indian cricket awe-struck the spectators as he smashed 61 off 25 deliveries and gave India the much-needed boost in the final overs. With that, Yadav now scored more than 1000 T20I runs in a calendar year and holds the record for most T20I runs in 2022.

Based on his incredible knock, India posted 186 runs on board after 20 overs. Indian bowlers right from the beginning of the second innings put enormous pressure on the Zimbabwe batters and eventually, Zimbabwe crumbled as they lost all their ten wickets on 115 runs. With that, the Men in Blue collected two more points and finished as the league leaders of Group 2 of the Super 12.
