Perth Scorchers trumped Sydney Sixers by six wickets in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2025-26 final at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Sunday, January 25.
The Scorchers now have the most title wins in franchise T20 leagues with the latest one being their sixth titular triumph, while Ashton Turner won his third BBL final as a captain. No BBL skipper has played more finals than him. Turner also became the first to win five BBL finals as a player.
Meanwhile, over the years, there have been several winners in the BBL. Brisbane Heat have won the tournament twice. Furthermore, Sydney Sixers have won the title on three occasions. Besides, they were also the champions of the inaugural edition of the BBL as well.
