Chris Gayle claims Royal Challengers Bangalore didn't function as a unit

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s ace batsman Chris Gayle believes that team failed collectively as a unit and players have only performed well in patches exclusively.
The Royal Challengers finally had something to celebrate after their win last night against the Delhi Daredevils. Chris Gayle ended his campaign in this edition of the IPL with a sublime inning of 48 off 38 balls at a strike rate of 126. He hit 3 boundaries and as many maximums in the knock as he entertained the Ferozshah Kotla along with Virat Kohli.
Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to break their losing streak in this tournament with a win against the Delhi Daredevils by 10 runs. Pawan Negi and man of the match Harshal Patel managed to clinch 3 wickets to dismiss the side within 151 runs after posting a total of 161.
The self-proclaimed ‘Universal Boss’ recently brought up his 10000th T20 runs in this edition of the IPL. However, post the match against Daredevils, Gayle stated that the prime reason for horrendous performance this season was the collective failure of the players in all the departments of the game.

“It was a disappointing one. No one actually particularly clicked in all departments at all. It was more so in patches and we need more of a collective unit to perform out there. But, it just did not happen at all.” quoted the Jamaican according to reports from Deccan Chronicle.
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s campaign this season started on the wrong foot as they were plagued with injuries in the team. Sarfaraz Khan and KL Rahul had to pull out of the tournament due to injuries. As a result, their batting collapsed far too many times for anyone’s liking.
RCB were bundled out within ten overs against the Kolkata Knight Riders to register the lowest score ever in the IPL. That said, Chris Gayle hoped that the team views it as a learning experience. “We will just use it as a learning experience and move on from here,” concluded the southpaw.
