Sri Lanka opening batter Pathum Nissanka looked in great form across formats in 2025. He accounted for four hundreds in the calendar year, while taking only 34 matches to do so. Nissanka scored 1414 runs in 2025 at an impressive average of 40.40. He scored a couple of centuries in Tests, with one coming against India during the T20 Asia Cup. The right-handed batter also had a century in One-Day Internationals, which came against Zimbabwe.

New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra bats at the top of the order, and was a regular feature for the BlackCaps throughout the year.
