While many cricketers have taken ten or more wickets in a match, the incredible feat of claiming all ten wickets in a single innings remains an extremely rare achievement.

1. Jim Laker (England) vs Australia, 1956
England spinner Jim Laker achieved the remarkable feat against Australia in the fourth Test at Manchester in 1956. England posted a commanding total of 459 runs in the first innings before Australia were bowled out for just 84, with Laker taking nine wickets.
The visitors, who were forced to follow on, managed only 205 runs in their second innings as England won the match by an innings and 170 runs. In Australia’s second innings, Laker accomplished the extraordinary by dismissing all 10 batters for just 53 runs, bowling 51.2 overs.
