The Ajit Agarkar-led BCCI selection committee announced the 15-member ODI squad for the home series against the West Indies on September 16, with the series set to begin in Thiruvananthapuram on September 27, 2026.

3. Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal is a left-hand batter from Karnataka who has put together an impressive record in List A cricket, holding a batting average of 82.23 in that format. He also had a notable series against Sri Lanka in Tests, which further strengthened his case as a multi-format prospect.
However, Padikkal was not included in India's 15-member ODI squad for the home series against the West Indies, nor was he part of the T20I squad for the same series. His List A numbers make him a player the selectors could consider when opportunities arise in the ODI setup.
