2. Highest successful run chase
PBKS created history when they chased down 262 runs at the Eden Gardens to register the highest successful run chase in IPL history. Chasing at a required run rate of 13, the side, then captained by Sam Curran, chased down the total with eight balls to spare and with eight wickets in hand.
Every single batter contributed towards this historic win, but none more than Jonny Bairstow, who hit an unbeaten 108 off just 48. He was helped brilliantly by Prabhsimran Singh’s 20-ball 54 and Shashank Singh’s unbeaten 68 off 28 deliveries.
The previous record was held by Rajasthan Royals, who chased down 224 against PBKS themselves back in 2020.
