He coached his son, Yuvraj Singh, during his early days and played a significant role in helping him become a world-class all-rounder. In recent times, he coached Arjun Tendulkar, the son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, for a brief period in 2022. The seam-bowling all-rounder went on to make his debut the very next year and put up some notable performances in domestic cricket.
