New Zealand opener Tim Seifert accumulated 216 runs in six innings, playing a key role in his side’s march to the semifinals. He started strongly with 65 against Afghanistan and followed it up with a commanding unbeaten 89 against the UAE. During that innings, he forged a century-plus opening stand with Finn Allen, laying a perfect foundation.

Though his form dipped slightly in the later stages, with a highest of 35 against England in the Super Eight, Seifert’s early contributions were crucial in ensuring New Zealand’s steady progress in the tournament.
