Rajasthan Royals were active in the trade window, picking up players like Donovan Ferreira, Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran (although injured), along with the high-profile departure of Sanju Samson. The former captain has joined the Chennai Super Kings, and if his T20 World Cup form is a reflection of how his season will go, then the Rajasthan Royals will be in need of match-winners to compensate for that departure. Fortunately for them, their squad is definitely not short of star names, players who can turn games around on their own. Let us take a look at five players who can be match-winners for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026 5) Yashasvi Jaiswal Yashasvi-Jaiswal. With 559 runs at a strike rate of 159.71 at the top, Jaiswal proved his reliability with the bat despite an ordinary season last year. Now as a seasoned professional with international experience under his belt, he is to lead the way forward. The Mumbai player is an extraordinary strokemaker and is able to dispatch the ball at will with textbook cricketing shots. Despite being a nailed-on starter in Tests, he has not been in contention for the Indian T20I team for a while, but a good season can change his fortunes there. The England speedster finally made his much-awaited return to test cricket and has taken his place as the Three Lions’ lead quick in all formats. In the recently concluded T20 World Cup, Archer picked up 11 wickets in eight games, being reliable with the new ball as England made it to the semifinals. Archer at his best is a merciless wicket-taker, changing games in just a single short spell. With the new ball in hand, he is as dangerous as ever, moving it both ways and getting it to behave off the wicket. Rajasthan will hope he is at his best for them this season and can recreate the performances of past seasons. 3) Sandeep Sharma Sandeep Sharma. Starting in the IPL as an accurate swing-bowler, he has now evolved into a death-over specialist, combining the accuracy with a newly-developed arsenal of slower balls and variations. His ability to pick up key wickets and restricting batters from scoring runs makes him vital to RR’s success in the death overs. Retained in 2025 as an uncapped player, Sandeep has repaid that faith shown in him by the RR management. With Sam Curran slated to miss the entire IPL following an injury-layoff, the onus is on Sandeep to lead the team at the back end. 2) Riyan Parag Riyan Parag. His 573-run season in 2024 remains his best yet, where he finally showed the potential that has always been associated with him. He won matches for the Rajasthan Royals and was the backbone of the batting lineup. While his numbers waned in 2025, he still showed that he has what it takes to score runs by amassing 393 runs. But in 2026, he will have to take up more responsibility and RR will hope that shows in his batting. He is a batter who can switch gears with ease, making him a reliable match-winner for the Royals. 1) Vaibhav Suryavanshi Vaibhav Suryavanshi. (Photo source: X) Vaibhav Suryavanshi at 15 years old has already established himself as one of the biggest talents ever produced in India. An aggressive batter, he showed the ease with which he can take on bowlers in the last edition of the IPL, scoring a scintillating 35-ball hundred against the Gujarat Titans, the fastest ever by an Indian in the IPL. He will be coming off a successful U-19 World Cup campaign, where he scored a mammoth 175 off just 80 balls in the final. Rajasthan will be banking on him after the departure of Sanju Samson, and at his young age, being given such responsibility at the top might raise questions. But Vaibhav has shown that he cannot just hang with the pros but decimate them with skill and poise.
