2. Jonny Bairstow

Jonny Bairstow is an important member of the England Test team. He reinforces the team’s batting in the middle order with his superb batting technique. The talented right-hander has played a lot of match-winning knocks for England in his 10 years of Test career. His record is fabulous against quality teams such as India, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Bairstow has featured in the English Test squad in 89 games and has amassed 5,482 runs in 159 innings. The veteran has also scored 12 tons, of which four have come against the quality sides of Australia (2), New Zealand (1), and South Africa (1) on their soil.

In 2022, he became one of the key players behind the success of England's revolutionary 'Bazball' playing style. In the 10 Tests he played last year, the 33-year-old looked solid with a total aggregation of 1,061 runs including six hundreds and a half-century. Against India in the fifth Test of the Pataudi Trophy 2021-22, he hit centuries in both innings and joined an elite list of batters to have done so.
