His tally included two centuries and nine fifties, with crucial contributions coming in all three formats for Pakistan in the middle-order. As captain, he led Pakistan to the final of the Asia Cup; however, they fell short against India in the final. His ability to anchor the innings and accelerate when required made him a dependable player in Pakistan’s batting unit. 4. Brian Bennett (Zimbabwe) Brian Bennett. The 22-year-old scored 1585 runs in 39 matches with three centuries and eight half-centuries. One of the standout moments of his 2025 campaign came in Test cricket, where he scripted history with a century against England. In white-ball cricket, Bennett repeatedly provided solid starts, dominating the powerplay. His contributions were not limited to runs alone, as he also earned the role of Zimbabwe’s vice-captain. 3. His unbeaten 138 in Brisbane also ended his long wait for a century on Australian soil. He hammered seven centuries and five fifties in 2025 across formats. Featuring in 42 matches, Hope smashed 1760 runs at an average of 40, displaying his importance in both red-ball and white-ball cricket. His delivered heroic performances in New Zealand, playing a crucial role in helping the West Indies register an epic draw in Christchurch. Hope followed up a first-innings half-century with an unbeaten century. Apart from Test cricket, Hope continued to dominate in limited-overs formats. His ability to anchor innings in ODIs and adapt his game in T20Is made him one of the most productive batters of 2025. 1. Shubman Gill (India) Shubman Gill (Source: BCCI) India's Shubman Gill signed off 2025 as the highest run-scorer across formats. With 1764 runs in 35 matches, seven centuries, and an average touching 50, Gill enjoyed a memorable season. The year saw him taking India’s Test captaincy following Rohit Sharma’s retirement, and he later took charge in ODIs and was also named T20I vice-captain. Gill had a historic tour of England, where he scored 754 runs, including a double century, leading India from the front. He was also named the Player of the Series. Despite his overall brilliance, Gill missed out on India’s T20 World Cup squad due to team combinations and a lack of returns in the shortest format.
